Dr. Lu is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Sports Medicine. He trained at UCLA (medical school and sports medicine fellowship) and the University of Rochester (residency and research fellowship), where he worked on cutting-edge stem cell and cartilage research. He has served as team physician for local college and high school athletic programs, and currently serves as Chief of Surgery at Whittier Hospital Medical Center. He started SCOSI to practice medicine the way it should be — focused entirely on the patient.

Dr. Chuang specializes in non-interventional pain management and diagnostic nerve conduction studies. Working alongside our surgical team, he provides patients with comprehensive evaluation and management of complex and chronic pain conditions — helping them find relief and understand the full picture of their musculoskeletal health.

Jackson is an invaluable part of our team — and what makes him especially unique is the breadth of his background. As both a licensed chiropractor and a physician assistant, he brings a whole-body perspective to orthopedic and sports medicine care that expands what we can offer our patients. From initial evaluation through recovery, Jackson is known for his attentiveness, patience, and ability to connect with patients across cultures and languages.
